We are the oldest established, officially registered society for the preservation of Bear River's heritage. We maintain a museum in the village, and this website where we can more widely share some of its treasures.

Very nice website and historical society.
I am looking for the parents of my 3rd great grandfather, George Wedon Harris who died in Maine in 1892 at the age of 82. His death record says he was born in Bear River N.S. and parents were unknown. So apparently he was born about 1810. He also lived in Salisbury N.B. for some time. Can you direct me to someone who might be able to assist me? I have exhausted all internet sources that I can think of.
